Performances and cultural exhibition
Mostly refreshing yet compelling, the movies selected to be shown are contemporary movies that portray the lives of young people in Jakarta. Written and directed by young and talented Indonesian filmmakers, these movies have received various awards at the 2005 Indonesian Film Festival as well as being nominated at several International Film Festivals. An evening of Indonesian traditional cultural performances is sure to be entertaining. Audience will be presented with colorful and exotic traditional dances and music such as Balinese and Kakula Gamelan, Saman dance from Aceh, Balinese and Javanese dances, and many more.
Check this link for more information about Saman and the other performers in this event.
