They smiled.....

It was Saturday morning on March 24th, when all of us, Saman troop were getting ready to go to Malihua, a nursing home at Kalihi area. Khervin and Krishna, our friends from the East West Center taking us up there. While mbak Lusy and mbak Emy joined us too, helping us with pictures and supports, Thank you guys…

On the day when we were asked to voluntarily perform at the nursing home, we didn’t even have a second thought.

We directly and happily said YES for the sake of making people happy as well. Besides, many of us have never been to the nursing home; it will be a wonderful experience..

Yes, indeed, we had a wonderful experience at the nursing home even though we didn’t get that much applause, didn’t get that much responses, we weren’t even sure whether they did paid attention to our performances. And if we think that we might probably have brighten their day even it was only for a short time and have put smiles in their faces even if their minds were on and off, helped us to feel that what we have done was meaningful..

Yap, until the last minute of the performances, we surely had a good time.

Then the journey continued by having Dimsum (Siomay gitu deh) together at the Chinese restaurant in Downtown.

Yummy, yummy, yummy…our togetherness, joys and feeling of satisfaction blend together at late noon in Chinatown, Honolulu, Hawaii – our second home…

Bravo Saman, Kompak selalu !!
